I see you only read to reply, not to understand, so let me explain, I'll try to be slow, ok? You just have to be aware of how the AI functions, and each character when controlled by the AI will generally only do a handful of strings (3 to 5) variances. I mean here's a playthrough I just did, where I landed an expert mid hold on Mila for her doing 6P, and an expert mid hold on Ayane for when she did a Side Attack. While yes I agree that Eliot is the hardest of them all but just got to live with it. I mean most of the characters you should have no problem just beating them by mashing PPPP or 236P. I'm just not sure how you're unable to get the two expert holds and not complete the survival match as you have stated you have done otherwise. Originally posted by FSD | Matt Ponton:Yes, most of it is rambling about character A.I. So I'm wondering, anyone else noticing anything similar on that quest? Have it done, 3 of the 8 AI are friggin monsters, don't have it done, Eliot's the only annoyance. Now, before anyone goes "it's just a coincidence", I thought the same, until like the 15th time, after that it was too damn consistently tied to that challenge.

I couldn't get him bellow 80% HP when having that challenge done, heck, once he legit went god mode and everything was either held, blocked or countered and couldn't land a single hit on him. Rachel.she kinda has the same issue as the 2 boys, her AI is a tad stronger when that challenge is done than when not, but I only lost to her four times, all fought when the quest was done, last being just before making this as I just RQ, she did a kill combo and I couldn't land the last hit to win, so it's not a big deal, she's ok for her spot most of the time.Įliot on the other hand.I managed to beat him a bunch when reaching him, with the caviat, don't have the 2 expert holds done. Hitomi is consistent in being average regardless of that 2 expert hold challenge. On the other hand, if I don't have the 2 expert holds done before them, their AI isn't a problem, they are mediocre. Diego is a pain, but at least he has the decency to let me get off the ground. Either keep him stunned in kick combos or he would kill combo throw me. If I somehow complete the "do 2 expert holds" before their fights (I said "somehow" because Ayane always uses her kicks, yet Tamaki has no expert holds for kicks, and Bass doesn't move, so it's up to Mila to help with the holds), they switch from "eh, you're ok" to "YOU SHALL NOT PASS", at least 10 times I legit couldn't get off the ground in Bayman's fight, forget do holds or break hold, nothing would work. These two and Eliot are the reason why I can't get the 3 stars. The other 2 in 3, she at least throws more than 5 punches.ĭiego and Bayman.SHOOT THE TN EMPLOYEE WHO CODED THEM. Mila.Mila's questionable, she has occasions to sit like Bass does, but much rarer, I think like, 1 in 3 she'd have a 50-50 to do nothing or fight, so at least she's halfwhat competent. Look Bass, I know Tamaki's cute, but ya gotta fight.

If I try to put some distance, he runs closer and sits there. I think in all those runs, I've seen him twice do 4 attacks, but never saw him to do more, I've legit waited next to him and he wouldn't attack. I've counted, Bass has a 50-50 chance to either not move at all (unless you count starting to spin around as "moving") or to do 3 attacks the whole match then not move at all. Or better put, who the hell forgot to take out the spaghetti from the code?

So, I've played that quest around 40 times, never got to complete all 3 stars, as for why, let me answer that with a question: WHO THE HELL CODED THAT QUEST?
